Seven String Tapped Arpeggio Sequence

Something I came up with based on one of Guthrie Govan’s “Professor Shred” columns for Guitar World. The idea is to play a 3 or 4 note arpeggio in different octaves using wide stretches, tapping and string skipping. In this way the initial note “pattern” is simply repeated across different strings. With a 7 string it’s nice because you can play the pattern 4 times (on the low B, A, G and high E strings). I tried to put together a chord progression of sorts based on the arpeggios that Guthrie outlined in his lesson – hopefully it sounds remotely musical…I know this is still pretty sloppy (it’s incredible how fast and clean Guthrie does it) but I hope it’s not too bad. Also this video marks the very first time I’ve used video editing – just to splice together two takes. Don’t judge me! =P
